Mr. Weidong Yin

Mr. Yin is the President and CEO of Sinovac. He is also one of founders of Tangshan Yian and Sinovac Biotech Co., Ltd. He has been dedicated to hepatitis research for over 20 years starting as a doctor on epidemiology in Tangshan CDC (Hebei Province). He is credited with developing the intellectual property rights that led to the development of Sinovac’s Hepatitis A Vaccine. Mr. Yin has been appointed to be the principal investigator by the Chinese Ministry of Science and echnology for many key governmental R&D programs such as “Inactivated Hepatitis A Vaccine R&D”, “Inactivated SARS Vaccine R&D” and “New Human Influenza Vaccine (H5N1) R&D”. Mr. Yin is instrumental in shaping the Chinese Ministry of Public Health’s policy for prioritizing hepatitis as one of primary diseases to be negated by the country in the next five years.
Dr Yin also serves some public obligations. He is the member of Chinese Foundation for Hepatitis Prevention and Control. He is academic consultant to various Chinese governmental organizations.

Dr Yin obtained his Medical Degree from the Tangshan Medical School in Hebei Province, PRC, pursued
advanced study in Virology from the China Institute of Preventive Medical Science and obtained a Master
Degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.

Mr. Zhang has had sophisticated training courses on Biological product manufacturing management and quality control in Holland and received training on biological product manufacturing management and quality control at Merck. He fully understands European GMP standards, which was used into manufacturing workshop construction of inactivated hepatitis A vaccine and split flu vaccine, which guides the production management and quality control of Sinovac to meet international standards.

She also holds very good relationship with related government officials.

Since Sinovac’s incorporation, he contributed to building up the company’s sales team and network and responsible for the sale of Sinovac vaccines.

Ms. Xuejie GONG

She is a Pharmaceutical engineer. And she gained certified Professional Pharmacist in 1995. She has the experience of vaccine R&D for over 10 years. She used to work in quality assurance department of Tangshan Yian. She dedicated to the R&D of Hepatitis A vaccine and Hepatitis A&B vaccine. She is a professional in establishing the method of quality control, quality assurance, clinical trial of the vaccine and the registration for the new bio-products. After that, she also participated into the establishment of GMP administrative system of inactivated hepatitis A vaccine. And she is in charge of the registration for split flu vaccine development by Sinovac. She was certified to be senior engineer in late 2002. Currently she is the assistant to CEO. And she is in charge of QA dept. and QC dept.
