Transforming Innovation into Immunization: 27th DCVMN Annual General Meeting Opens in Beijing
The 27th Annual General Meeting of the Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers Network (DCVMN) opened in Beijing on September 22, 2026, under the theme "Transforming Innovation into Immunization."
The meeting brought together representatives of more than 40 vaccine manufacturers from 17 developing countries, alongside international organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO), Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), and UNICEF. Representatives from the Global Fund, the World Bank Group, regulatory authorities, and partners across the global immunization community also joined discussions on translating vaccine innovation into practice, advancing equitable access, and strengthening global capacity for disease prevention and control.
From research and development to manufacturing and supply, and from international partnerships to capacity building, speakers conveyed a shared message: open collaboration is essential to bringing together global expertise and resources so that safe, effective, and affordable vaccines can reach more people worldwide.
